The AUD/USD exchange rate has fluctuated within a narrow range over the past few trading days, as investors digested the Australian employment data released last Thursday and awaited the release of the minutes of the upcoming Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) meeting. The currency pair was trading around 0.6518 during the session, a range that has been maintained for many days.

The latest data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) show that the country's labor force participation rate remained stable at 67% in October; 42,200 new jobs were created, much higher than the 20,000 expected by the market, and significantly higher than the 12,700 in the previous month; the unemployment rate fell from 4.5% to 4.3%. The AUD/USD exchange rate remained sideways after the employment data was released.

The highlight of the data is that full-time employment increased by 55,000 in October, while part-time employment decreased by 13,100, indicating that the Australian labor market performed better than expected.
